Amy and Raul Godinez 4-23-11

Mr and Mrs.
Cameron and Faith- Happy Day!

Well, apparently I asked my computer for too much. It would only upload 3 photos so I guess I will do a follow-up post another day.
Saturday April 23rd, Raul and Amy were married at our church by Bishop Bowles. It was a sweet and short service. Bishop said some nice things and basically gave them some good advice for starting a marriage. There were probably about 70 people in attendance (mostly church friends). We had a small cake and punch reception in the cultural hall and then family and close friends were invited over to our house for a barbecue rib dinner and swimming. Amy had not wanted a cake but since we decided at the last moment to have the church reception, a dear friend from church asked if she could make the cake. I honestly did not know that she could make wedding cakes, I thought she was going to make us "three cakes" to serve. I will post the picture of the cake as soon as I get it figured out. At the house we had a giant Mrs Fields Cookie cake with ice cream in between two cookies. The top cookie was decorated with a bride and groom, real cute. The whole wedding and reception (and bridal shower) were planned and over in a two week period of time. Amy got her dress at Macy's after looking at David's Bridal for 3 hours. Got the kids clothes online (luckily it was Easter time and JC Pennys had the right color and a great sale). I was very pleased with the whole affair, it was nice but not stressful at all.
